See the Puppy Before Planning a Visit
Use the Giant Poodle puppy video to decide what you would want to see more clearly before arranging a visit. A public clip is a starting point for that conversation, not a substitute for a current view of the individual being discussed. Note a visual question you would like answered so the next exchange has a purpose beyond simply asking whether a puppy looks like this one.
Ask for current footage and confirmation of which puppy it shows before discussing a visit or collection. Bring the same viewing question to any meeting so you can connect the information supplied beforehand with the dog you are actually considering.
Keep the reference video separate from the details of any puppy discussed with you. A familiar-looking dog in a second clip is not sufficient confirmation that two recordings show the same individual. Ask the business to identify the puppy, date the new footage and connect it to the information being supplied. Age, parent details, vaccination and deworming records need direct confirmation. None of those facts, or current availability, can be established from this public video alone. That distinction lets you enjoy the visual reference without treating it as a live listing.
When enquiring from Delhi, use this viewing question alongside a request for current puppy photos or a live video call. Confirm current availability before making plans, then ask whether collection or delivery can be arranged for the individual puppy. Keep the visual conversation tied to its age, parent information and dated records. You can discuss the practical next step without assuming that the puppy in this public video is the one being offered.
Availability
Checking current Giant Poodle availability
Confirm current availability directly and request recent photos or a live video of the puppy.
Look beyond the Giant label
Ask which Standard Poodle parents are involved and what they measure. Request records that identify those dogs; a sales label alone does not establish this puppy’s eventual size.
Talk it through
Not sure whether a Giant Poodle is the right dog for you
Tell us about your home rather than about the breed you think you want. The useful conversation is the one where we can say a Giant Poodle is a poor fit for your week, and suggest what would be better — including nothing at all, for now.

Suitability
Why a Giant Poodle might suit you
Know what you are buying
If a seller offers a "Giant Poodle", they are almost always offering a large Standard Poodle. That may be an excellent dog. It is not a rarer type and it is not a separate breed.
Ask for measurements, not adjectives
The useful question is what both parents measure at the shoulder. That is a number you can check; "Giant" is not.
Everything else follows the Standard
Exercise needs, coat, grooming interval and health questions are the Standard Poodle’s, because that is what the dog is.
Watch the pricing
A premium charged purely for the word is a premium for nothing. Nothing in any breed standard defines it.
Choosing a puppy
What to check when you choose a puppy
Review the individual puppy and its records before making a commitment.
- What both parents measure at the shoulder, in inches.
- Whether the seller can say what "Giant" means in their own words.
- What health screening the parents have had.
- Whether your building permits a large dog.
- That the price is explained by the dog in front of you, not by the label on the advert.
- Request dated vaccination and deworming records, confirm the puppy’s date of birth and ask which appointments are due next.

Understanding Giant Poodle labels
There are three recognised Poodle varieties and "Giant" is not among them. This is what the word is usually standing in for.
What you are shown
Almost always a large Standard Poodle - over 15 inches at the shoulder, often well over.
What is recognised
Standard, Miniature and Toy. All three judged against one written standard, separated by height.
What to ask
What both parents measure at the shoulder, in inches. A number you can check beats an adjective you cannot.
Price
Giant Poodle Puppy Price in Delhi
No Giant Poodle price is published for Delhi. Request an itemised quote for a particular puppy, with booking terms and any handover charges.
What moves the price of a Giant Poodle
- Whether a premium is being charged for the word "Giant" rather than for anything about the dog.
- Age and the early veterinary work already done.
- Parent health screening and documentation.
- Colour and availability.
- Transport for a large dog.
Ask for these in writing before you pay anything
The puppy, not the type
Age today, sex, colour, and the date it can leave. A price attached to no particular dog is not a quote.
What the figure includes
Confirm the care already provided, the dated records included and any additional charges.
The records themselves
“Giant” is a sales label; ask whether any pedigree paperwork identifies the dog as a Standard Poodle. Ask to see it rather than take the description on trust.
Getting it to Delhi
Delhi is inside the Delhi NCR area already covered, so collection from Chandni Chowk and delivery are both open. What either costs is not published — ask for it as a line in the quote rather than assuming it is included.
Getting the dog to you
Collection or delivery in Delhi

- If something suits, you see the dog — in person here, or on a live video call.
- Collection from Chandni Chowk, or delivery to your address in Delhi.

Delhi: rules and paperwork
What you have to do once a Giant Poodle lives in Delhi
This is not breed advice that happens to mention a city. Each item below is a published requirement from the authority that sets it, with what it means for a Giant Poodle in particular.
-
Registering the dog where you live
Applies in Delhi, set by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi
Registering your dog with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is a legal requirement rather than an optional extra. The MCD portal cites section 399 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act 1957, accepts applications through that portal only, and issues a certificate that lasts a maximum of one year, tied to the date of vaccination.
What that means when you collect the puppy. Because the certificate runs from the vaccination date rather than from the day you bring the puppy home, the vaccination record you are handed at collection is the document that sets your renewal date. Ask for it in writing, with dates and vaccine names on it, before the puppy leaves us.
What to put on the form — and why “Giant” will not do. This is the one place where the words matter more than usual. There is no Giant Poodle variety to write down: the Kennel Club and the American Kennel Club recognise Standard, Miniature and Toy, and nothing else. A large dog sold to you as a Giant Poodle is a Standard Poodle, and Standard Poodle is what belongs on a registration form, a vaccination card and any pedigree. If a seller hands you paperwork that says Giant Poodle as though it were a breed, that tells you something about the seller rather than about the dog.

Day to day
Living with a Giant Poodle in Delhi
It is a Standard Poodle
So the care is the Standard Poodle’s care: daily brushing, a clip every six to eight weeks, and real daily exercise for a dog bred to work.
Grow it slowly
Large-breed puppies should not be over-exercised while they are growing. Your vet is the right source for what is appropriate at each age.
Plan the logistics first
Building permission, lift size, car space and groomer capacity all change with a large dog, and all are easier settled before the puppy arrives.
Delhi weather and this coat
What Delhi’s year does to a Giant Poodle’s coat
Monthly means for Delhi: humidity from about 23% in May to about 75% in August, daytime highs peaking near 49°C in June, overnight lows around -1°C in January.
The hot months, and what to change
A large dog in a 49°C June needs its walks moved to the cooler hours, and it needs them daily. The bigger the dog, the more this matters and the less a short lead-walk substitutes for it.
The cold weeks, and clip length
Coat volume helps in the January cold, around -1°C on average here, but a close clip cancels that out. Time the clip to the season.
Two seasons, two routines
Humidity here swings from about 23% in May to about 75% in August, so the grooming routine that works in one half of the year is not the one that works in the other. Expect to change brushing frequency with the season rather than settling on one schedule.
Figures are monthly means from NASA POWER climatology (MERRA-2), 20-year Meteorological and Solar Monthly & Annual Climatologies (January 2001 - December 2020) for 28.67, 77.22. They describe a normal year, not a forecast, and what follows from them here is coat and routine planning rather than veterinary advice.
Questions
Questions people ask about the Giant Poodle
Is the Giant Poodle a real breed?
No. The American Kennel Club and The Kennel Club both recognise exactly three Poodle varieties: Standard, Miniature and Toy. "Giant" appears in advertising, not in any breed standard.
So what am I being offered?
Almost always a large Standard Poodle. Ask what both parents measure at the shoulder and judge from that.
Should a Giant Poodle cost more?
Not for the name. Price should reflect the dog, its parents and the work already done for it.
How big do they actually get?
A Standard Poodle is over 15 inches at the shoulder and often well over. The parents are the best guide to an individual puppy.
